As per usual, I’ve put together a large list of Ottawa event options for an upcoming party night!! Celebrate this New Year’s Eve in style (or not in style if you so choose) with any of these fabulous events, listed below. After scouring the internet to find these events, I struggled with how to organize them, as people will typically go the extra mile, literally, to hit up the best New Year’s party available. I decided to sort them geographically for lack of better options. So please find below my non-exhaustive list of options to ring in the new year! I will update this list as I discover more events, but if you can’t find something amazing to do from this, a house party is likely your best option. If you are running an event and it isn’t on this list, please feel free to send me the details via my website/contact info.

  • Bring in the New Year with your fellow Ramblers in beautiful, serene Gatineau Park. Feel free to invite a few family members or friends. On December 31st meet at Tunney’s Pasture (parking lot next to the parkway, off Parkdale near Emmerson) at 7:15pm to arrange car pooling for a 7:30pm departure to P19. From P19 either ski or snowshoe into Renaud Cabin: it is about a 3.5km ski along trails #50 and #55 to Renaud Cabin, although you can ski longer if you like along trail #55 to Taylor Lake before returning to the cabin; and about a 4.5km snowshoe along trail #74 from P19 to Renaud Cabin. At Renaud Cabin there is a wood stove to provide heat and warm up sandwiches and snacks if you like. Please bring along candles and snacks / treats to share with your fellow Ramblers.

Last year alone we had over 600 people attend! After great partnerships with “Make-A-Wish”, “Be The Choice”, “Do It For Daron” & “The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation” over the past three years, we have decided to partner with the “LetsTalkAboutPaul GoFundMe Campaign” which is dedicated to Lymphoma Awareness and funds For Paul’s son Bentley.
