Exploring Gobeklitepe: A World Heritage Site / A silent auction to support female students

February 25 @ 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm

$45

Gobeklitepe is a UNESCO world heritage site, which predates Stonehenge by 6,000 years. As the oldest settlement found in the world, Gobeklitepe can change the conventional view on the history of civilizations. Dr. Yonca Eldener, who has a novel about Gobeklitepe, The Guardian of Gobeklitepe, will take you on a tour of this extraordinary archeological site and illustrate what life might have looked like back then. During the event, you can participate in a silent auction featuring exclusive items, including two TURKISH AIRLINES round-trip tickets from Montreal to Urfa, while indulging in delicious snacks, finger food, and refreshing drinks throughout the event. The silent auction and ticket proceeds will support fundraising efforts of Canadian and Turkish Women Association of Ottawa (CATWAO), aiming to uplift and empower female students, fostering their educational journey and contributing to their future success. The funds raised will go to female students at three Universities, namely University of Ottawa, Carleton University and Algonquin College.
