Ottawa Winter Dragon Boat Festival Presents: Okies and Amanda Rheaume

Okies are an Indie Folk band from Aylmer, Quebec. They have participated in festivals such as Ottawa Bluesfest 2022 and 2018, Festival d’été de Québec 2019 and many more, as well as extensive showcases in the National Capital Region, Montreal and Toronto. The four young Gatineau-based members of this band are eager to present their newest EP, A Penny for Your Thoughts, as their soundscape continues to evolve and their fan base continues to grow.

Amanda is an award winning Métis singer-songwriter with a slightly gritty, deeply personal and instantly accessible Americana sound. A citizen of the Métis Nation and a proud member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, she creates music that comes indeed from the heart.
