Pat Moore & The Vinyl Frontier
January 20 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
“Pat Moore sings a country song like it should be sung…” Alan Wigney, CKCU, Ottawa Sun Pat Moore’s voice has a warm and expressive quality, as perfectly suited to a rich ballad, as it is to an up-tempo power song. She moves easily from the storytelling of the singer/songwriter genre, to the lonesome sound of traditional country and bluegrass. Together with the full country band, The Vinyl Frontier, they take you on a journey country and country pop tunes emulating the sounds of the 1950’s and 1960’s. Her original songs are woven beautifully with favourite familiar standards. Their dynamic and captivating show is created by the best of the best here in the Ottawa Valley: Pat McLaughlin on guitars and vocals, Michael Ball on fiddle, Ken Kanwisher on bass, and Bob Bangs on drums and vocals. Her recordings have received praise from far and wide – Holland, Italy, Australia, the U.S. and across Canada, for her captivating storytelling, her warm strong voice, and the musicianship of the people she surrounds herself with. The live show is always fun! * * * “Audiences delight in Pat Moore’s radiant stage presence and warm, expressive voice. She writes, plays and sings from the heart, delivering strong stories of life and love we long to hear again… and again… and again!” Chris White, Host, Canadian Spaces, CKCU. & Founding Artistic Director, Ottawa Folk Festival “There is no greater joy than to hear an artist find their sound and then use it elegantly.
