Pibòn (Winter) Festival – Winterlude Edition

This February, Mādahòkì Farm, as an official Winterlude partner, will be presenting a wide range of programming. We invite everyone to reconnect with the land while learning about Indigenous traditions. Pibòn (Winter) Festival, Winterlude Edition promises authentic Indigenous experiences, family fun for young and old offered daily.
Madāhòkì Farm invites everyone to reconnect with the land while learning about Indigenous traditions in Ottawa’s greenbelt. Pibòn (Winter) Festival Winterlude edition promises authentic indigenous programming and fun for young and old with free admission (and some paid programming) offered daily.Enjoy the beautiful farm outdoors by visiting the little animals and Ojibwe spirit horses, cooking bannock over fire ($), taking a horse-drawn sleigh ride or snowshoeing the legacy trails with interpretive signage (rentals available). Enjoy some indoor warmth! You can also take part in a meal celebrating the indigenous spirit, taste some of the traditional winter favorite foods like bannock, corn soup, bison and more while enjoying a traditional performance of pow wow dance ($), create your own woodland style painting with our visual art stencil workshop ($), join artist and storyteller Rhonda Snow in the indoor riding dome for an immersive storytelling experience with the Ojibwe Spirit horses or shop in the marketplace with over 50 indigenous makers.
