The Human Rights When it comes to Reggae in Canada, few bands do it better—while remaining true to its founding principles—than Toronto’s The Human Rights. Since forming in 2007 around one of the scene’s true lions, Friendlyness (previously of Culture Shock, Truth And Rights and Big Sugar), The Human Rights have developed a modern, high energy sound that blends Roots Reggae with jazz, funk and R&B influences, courtesy of a blazing three-piece horn section and the soulful lead vocals of JUNO nominee Tréson. Jah & I A native of the hills of St. Ann’s in Jamaica, singer and charismatic rastaman, DaddyRushy leads the Quebec City based band : Jah & I. The group has learned to captivate audiences using the hot and festive rhythms of reggae. Supported by their talented musicians, Jah & I carries the audience into a world that is authentic and true to the Jamaican roots and also through a modern exploration of the gendre. With the experience gained in recent years, the group is proud to present its first album: Heart, Mind and Soul. Dancing, refreshing and universal, the music of Jah& I stands out and impacts the listener. With the inspired melodies of the leader, the complicity of guitars, keyboards creativity or bass sound, the musicians know how to share their passion. It is with great humility and a true sense of family that the group performs the songs from it’s new album.
