SUMMARY:The Grateful Dead's Legacy Manager & Archivist David Lemieux: In Conversation
DESCRIPTION:David Lemieux has been the Grateful Dead’s official audiovisual archivist since 1999\, and their Legacy Manager since 2010. Over the past 27 years\, Lemieux has produced scores of Grateful Dead CD and DVD releases\, many of which have been certified Gold\, Platinum\, and Multi-Platinum by the RIAA®\, as well as several Grammy® nominated boxed sets. He has produced 52 of the Grateful Dead’s World Record 66 Billboard Top 40 albums. \nLemieux was the Supervising Music Producer on the Martin Scorsese-produced career-spanning documentary on the Grateful Dead\, Long Strange Trip: The Untold Story Of The Grateful Dead. In 2012\, the Grateful Dead re-named their primary archival release series “Dave’s Picks\,” as a testament to his expertise. Since 2007\, he has hosted a daily show on the Sirius XM Grateful Dead Channel\, “Today In Grateful Dead History.” \nLemieux holds a BA in History from Carleton University\, a BFA in Film Studies from Concordia University\, and an MA in Film Archiving from the University of East Anglia. He is originally from Ottawa and currently lives in Victoria\, British Columbia.

DESCRIPTION:Father’s Day Car Show\nSunday\, June 21 from 10 am to 3 pm\nCost: Single admission – $8.93; Family admission (two adults and accompanying children from the same household) – $23.15. \nTreat your dad\, paternal role model\, or favourite car enthusiast to a day of family-friendly fun at Billings Estate National Historic Site. Chat with community members about their pre-1999 antique and vintage cars. The Billings’ 1959 Cadillac Sedan de Ville will also be on display. Cast a vote for your favourite car\, explore the museum at Ottawa’s oldest wood frame house\, and challenge each other to a scavenger hunt. \nParticipate in the car show\nCar owners are invited to participate in the Father’s Day Car Show at Billings Estate National Historic Site with their pre-1999 vehicles (no ‘mods’ or hot rods). To participate\, please complete the online registration form(opens in new tab) by June 19\, 2026. \nPlan to arrive at the museum (2100 Cabot Street) on June 21 between 8:30 am and 9:45 am. Staff will direct you to assigned parking (based on order of arrival). We hope that you will be able to participate for the duration of the event. If you need to depart early\, we request that you depart on the hour so we can coordinate the movement of vehicles. Registered car owners will receive up to two meal chits per vehicle for lunch. \nIf you have questions\, contact  larysa.voss@ottawa.ca(link opens email application). \nNotes\n\nThis program takes place rain or shine.
