The guitar\, banjo\, piano and his gift for writing are his best creative friends. \nAs a composer\, he has had the pleasure of working with poet laureate Brandon Wint\, Stef Paquette\, Wise Atangana as well as with Vox Théâtre for Dans tous les sens and Art & Water for Moby: A Whale of a Tale\, winner of 4 Dora Awards. \nWith his partner-in-crime Kaitlin Milroy\, he has been with the band since 2013 Moonfruits. \n\nWaahli\n\nWaahli is a Montréal artist of Haitian descent who draws his inspiration from a childhood immersed in traditional melodies. \nIt is through the culture of hip-hop that he has found his voice and developed a unique and captivating style. With his ancestral rhythms\, captivating performances and incisive lyrics\, Waahli presents an alternative hip-hop that takes us to the four corners of the Earth. In 2025\, Waahli is once again pushing artistic boundaries with SE7EN BUBBLES\, an audacious opus that explores new aesthetic and sonic horizons. \n\nRayannah\n\nRayannah is a Franco-Manitoban artist\, producer\, beatmaker and art director. On stage and in the studio\, she creates soundscapes carried by her singular voice and intimate lyrics. Her multiple singles and EPs mark the beginning of a liberating era for the artist\, filled with self-discovery\, confidence and joy. SUMMARY:Festival of Small Halls Presents: Devin Cuddy Duo
DESCRIPTION:Devin Cuddy is a singer-songwriter based in Toronto. From an early age\, he was drawn to music of the past. While sifting through his father’s (Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo) CD collection\, he found the music of Louis Armstrong and New Orleans blues piano players like Dr John and Professor Longhair. After attending York University for Jazz Piano\, Devin started hanging around Toronto’s Cameron House\, where he was inspired by the local singer-songwriter scene. He began his performing career alone at the piano\, playing every Wednesday night. Drawing from inspirations like Randy Newman and Steve Earle\, Devin started to build up a catalogue of his own material. His first release\, Volume One\, was released in late 2012 and was nominated for a Juno. Volume One was followed up by Kitchen Knife\, produced by Greg Keelor\, and then an EP called Amy’s Dream\, produced by Chis Stringer\, whose songs Maggie’s Hardware Store (a cover of a Jack Marks song) and Radio took him in a more roots rock direction. This direction continues with Devin’s latest release Dear Jane.

DESCRIPTION:Ron Sexsmith is a three-time Juno Award-winning singer-songwriter from St Catharines\, Ontario. Born in 1964\, Ron was drawn to music from an early age by the melodic songs of the era\, which he heard on the radio and from his mom’s record collection. His earliest musical heroes were Buddy Holly and Elton John. He always loved to sing and began playing the guitar at the age of 14. Although he tried to write songs throughout his teens\, it wasn’t until he was 21\, when he had his first child\, that he truly became a songwriter. Ron eventually moved his young family to Toronto in 1987 to further pursue a career in music. He worked as a courier by day\, while performing in the clubs by night. He formed the band “Ron Sexsmith and The Uncool” and started gaining attention from music label executives\, although all passed on signing him. \nSexsmith’s songwriting style evolved into a unique and timeless blend of classic pop\, contemporary folk\, and roots-rock idioms. He has built a steadfast reputation with critics and with some of his own songwriting heroes (Elton John\, Ray Davies\, John Prine\, Gordon Lightfoot\, Leonard Cohen and Paul McCartney) for his characteristically honest\, sensitive\, and enduring approach to the songwriting craft.
