DESCRIPTION:Summer is here and so is our annual WBCA Beach BBQ! It’s the end of school and our beach opening celebration.\n**** IT’S TIME TO OPEN THE BEACH! ****\nSummer is almost here and that means it’s time for our annual Westboro Beach BBQ. This year it’s all about meeting and getting to know the people who enjoy the beach and catching up with neighbours\, friends and everyone who has been missing the beach.\nIt’s also the last day of school for a lot of families and what better way to celebrate and of course\, not have to cook dinner than to drop by the beach\, meet your neighbours\, let the kids unwind and enjoy a great evening together.\nBring some chairs\, a beach towel\, your bathing suit and water toys and make it a fun evening. And of course\, bring your appetites.\nHere’s what we are planning:\n> Hamburgers (meat or veggie) $5.00> Hot Dogs (meat or veggie) $4.00> Soft Drinks and Soda Water – assorted flavours $1.00> Chips – assorted flavour $1.00> Free watermelon (while quantities last)> Free cookies and treats (always have lots)> Free face painting> Henna tattoos by Mumtaz (small fee)> Free Bubbles for the kids> Perhaps an impromptu sand castle contest\nIMPORTANT: To help with planning\, we would like you to select tickets indicating your food preference. You can pay at the event. Your order helps us plan and keep costs down by not over-buying.\nTHIS IS OUR PRIMARY FUNDRAISER. DESCRIPTION:It’s time for our annual Winter Carnival! Warm your fingers and toes by the bonfire\, roast marshmallows\, enjoy some homemade treats and a cup of hot chocolate. Build a snow fort with our ice blocks or a snowperson. We’ll be partnering with Dave and the Kichi Sibi Wikan Winter Trail for even more fun this year.\nLOCATION: The map is slightly off. The event is on Selby Plain which is at the corner of Atlantis Ave and Lanark Ave.\nEveryone is welcome and the treats and hot chocolate are free but please be generous and make a donation to our association so we can keep doing fun things all year long for the community.Please use the tickets below which will help us plan for the event and make sure we have lots of chili\, hot chocolate and treats for everyone who joins us. neighbours.\nHere’s what we are planning:\n> Our famous (in the neighbourhood) veggie chili $5.00/bowl> Water in a carafe (bring your bottle or cup)> Free hot chocolate & min marshmallows (please bring a mug)> Free cookies & snacks (homemade by our neighbours)> Free marshmallows to roast at the campfire> Snow blocks to play in and colour> Spray bottles and colours to get creative in the snow> Our own “snow soccer” field to play> Groomed area for the kids to play\nIMPORTANT: To help with planning\, we would like you to select tickets to let us know how much chili to make.
